Japan's Ministry of Finance accepted ¥2.1184 trillion in competitive bids for two-year Japanese government bonds (JGBs) Thursday, with the lowest accepted price implying a 1.912% yield on securities due in 2028.

Competitive bids totaled ¥8.5392 trillion. The lowest accepted price was ¥99.975 per ¥100 of face value. Bids placed at that price received an 83.6544% allotment.

The weighted-average price was ¥99.989 per ¥100, with a yield of 1.905%. The bonds carry a 1.9% coupon.

Issuance is scheduled for Nov. 2, and the bonds mature Nov. 1, 2028. The auction result follows the ministry's earlier plan for an approximately ¥2.8 trillion offering, announced Oct. 22.
