Japan’s Ministry of Finance plans to auction about 250 billion yen in outstanding government bonds on Oct. 27, with 20-, 30- and 40-year issues eligible for the sale.

The eligible 20-year bonds are issues Nos. 163-197. The ministry also listed 30-year issues Nos. 28-91 and 40-year issues Nos. 1-18. The list identifies bonds eligible for the auction; it does not mean every listed issue will be sold.

The ministry described the operation as a liquidity enhancement auction. It set Oct. 28 as the issue date, one day after the scheduled auction.
