Jennifer Aniston may be joining the cast of NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” soon. Based on the reports, the actress wants to try this once to honor her father John Aniston who is set to retire soon.
In the article that was printed on the National Enquirer (via Gossip Cop), it was said that Aniston decided to appear in the long-running daytime drama soap so she can act alongside her dad. This is like a big send-off before he withdraws from the show since there will be no more opportunity to act with him once he retires from show business.
Then again, the main reason is that Jennifer Aniston wants to pay tribute to her father - for his long career as an actor in “DOOL.” He has been acting as Victor Kiriakis since 1985, and the actress thinks that it is time for her dad to step down. He is also turning 86 years old this July and the “Friends” star wants him to just enjoy his life and rest.
“It got her thinking, it would be wonderful to be a part of his soap opera world before he rides off into the sunset,” the tipster supposedly told the tabloid. “She wants to pay him back for getting her going in show business. She wants to honor him by working with him while she still has a chance.”
In 2015, John Aniston was also asked if he would like his daughter to be in “DOOL” so they can act together and he answered in affirmative. In his interview with Glamour, he said that did not ask his daughter if she would like to appear in the drama, but she could always join in, and while laughing, he said that Jen could be one of his Victor’s staff. He seemed to suggest that it is a good idea to work with his daughter by predicting that the ratings would surely go up if this happens.
But then again, the story is not accurate, so it was debunked. Gossip Cop stated that it checked with Jennifer Aniston’s camp and was told that it is not in the actress’s agenda to appear in “Days of Our Lives” even if her dad is retiring.
