AUSTIN, Texas, May 03, 2017 -- JetSurf Academy ATXTM has announced that it has partnered with JetSurf USA Ltd. to bring JetSurf motorized surfboards and a new generation of extreme water sports to Texas. After undergoing extensive technical, product and safety training at the JetSurf Factory Shop in Miami, Florida, the company becomes the first company in the U.S. to achieve JetSurf AcademyTM accreditation. As an official JetSurf Academy, JetSurf Academy ATX will play a pivotal role in supporting the U.S. brand expansion of the Czech-based company and will offer premium board rental, technical support, repair, and specialized training services for new and experienced JetSurf riders in the city of Austin and the surrounding state of Texas.
“From the humble beginnings of our Czech workshop, JetSurf has quickly grown to become the world leader in producing the fastest, lightest and most dynamic craft for this unique and rapidly-growing sport of JetSurfing,” said Martin Sula, Founder and creator of JetSurf. “We established the JetSurf Academy program so that novices and expert riders could experience these amazing boards in a safe and professional environment – no matter where in the world they chose to ride. As the first JetSurf Academy in the U.S., we welcome JetSurf Academy ATX to the global JetSurf family and look forward to working closely with them as they bring our boards to the waterways of Texas.”
Moto Meets Surfing
Sleek, lightweight and capable of reaching speeds of up to 35 mph, JetSurf motorized surfboards uniquely combine the adrenaline-inducing thrills of both motocross and surfing – without need for waves or boats. Created by the renowned team at MSR Engines, the inspiration for JetSurf drew from a rich history of race technology, extreme precision and high performance engineering. Utilizing MSR’s special new breed of high powered and lightweight racing engines, JetSurf motorized surfboards have become the worldwide, industry standard for a new and exciting era of extreme water sports.
“Austin represents a huge market opportunity and the perfect environment for us to establish and rapidly grow this new sport of JetSurfing. Despite being landlocked the city has amazing lakes, rivers, and a surfing community that does it all – from wakeboarding, wakesurfing, kitesurfing, and even traditional surfing at NLand’s new surf park and the nearby the Gulf Coast,” said Kyle Ray, CEO and Founder of JetSurf Academy ATX. “Nearly three years ago, we came up with the idea to bring motorized surfboards to Austin’s already prolific water scene, so it’s exciting to see that vision finally come to life. By working tirelessly with our partners at JetSurf USA, we’ve ensured that we are opening as a true representative of the JetSurf brand and more importantly, that we are able to offer Texas surfers the absolute best in JetSurf rentals, support, safety and stoke!”
