Investors will get a fresh measure of Jio Platforms’ customer growth and revenue per user when its board considers unaudited results for the quarter and half-year ended Sept. 30 on Oct. 30.
A Reliance Industries announcement lists standalone and consolidated accounts among items for the board’s review Friday, followed by a separate analyst session. Jio Platforms shares began trading Oct. 28, following the company’s market debut.
Jio Platforms’ prospectus lists 533.3 million customers and average revenue per user, or ARPU, of ₹215.6 per month at June 30. Consolidated revenue from operations was ₹39,172.9 crore for the quarter ended that day, up 11.82% from a year earlier. Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited accounted for 87.34% of that revenue. At Reliance Industries’ results call, Jio Platforms reported digital services growth of 20% year over year.
Mint reported that the average of four brokerage estimates puts July-September monthly ARPU at ₹219.5, about 1.8% above the June figure. ET Now cited a separate estimate of ₹218, or 1.1% growth. Mint also reported that Nomura expects eight million net additions, which would bring Jio’s customer base to 541.3 million. ET Now gave a range of eight million to 10 million additions. These figures are forecasts; Jio Platforms has not released its September-quarter results.
Mint has pointed to plan upgrades, postpaid growth and greater data use as sources of revenue growth for operators while the sector awaits broader tariff changes. The tariff outlook remains separate from the September-quarter estimates: Mint reported Motilal Oswal’s forecast for a 15% smartphone tariff increase in March 2027, which is an analyst projection rather than a Jio announcement.
Jio says its ₹300 Prime Pass protects the price of qualifying regular recharge plans already in force when a customer signs up. The guarantee runs through Sept. 5, 2027, and excludes some recharge options. The board’s Oct. 30 review is the next scheduled disclosure.
