Jio Platforms will begin public bidding Oct. 21 for an IPO of as many as 270 million new shares, a sale that would raise ₹30,213 crore if fully subscribed at the price ceiling.
The company set a price range of ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share. The minimum bid is 12 shares, costing ₹13,428 at the upper limit. Eligible employees bidding in their reserved portion receive a ₹54-per-share discount, according to Reliance Industries Limited’s Oct. 14 price announcement.
The issue contains no shares being sold by existing investors; all offered shares are newly issued. Reliance Industries, Jio Platforms’ promoter, owned 66.43% of the company before the IPO.
Net proceeds are intended to fully or partly prepay certain borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), Jio Platforms’ telecom subsidiary, and support general corporate purposes. RJIL had 533.3 million customers as of June 30, 2026, and accounted for 87.74% of Jio Platforms’ consolidated revenue from operations in fiscal 2026, which ended March 31.
Jio Platforms reported ₹146,885.3 crore in consolidated revenue from operations and ₹30,049.1 crore in profit for fiscal 2026. The corresponding figures for fiscal 2025 were ₹128,218.4 crore and ₹26,109 crore.
IPO Ji’s tracker showed an unofficial grey-market premium of ₹251 a share at 5:30 a.m. ET (09:30 UTC) on Oct. 19. Adding that quote to the ₹1,119 offer ceiling gives a hypothetical ₹1,370 price, 22.4% above the ceiling. The prospectus cautions that the offer price does not establish what shares will trade for after listing.
IPO Ji lists Oct. 26 as the expected allotment date and Oct. 28 as a tentative listing date on BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE). Public bidding is scheduled to close Oct. 23.
