The new campaign was shot by Director and Photographer Anthony Mandler in a vintage theater in downtown Los Angeles, home base for the 15-year-old fashion label. The creative team, led by Joe’s Founder and Creative Director Joe Dahan set out to depict a raw and authentic vibe, highlighting the label’s newest denim silhouettes, knits, and outerwear offerings for women and men.
“Bella (Hadid) was the perfect choice for this campaign,” commented Dahan. “She is effortless, but stylish. She can make a simple tee and jeans look like an of-the-moment trend and she’s on the pulse of pop culture.”
“The campaign with Bella (Hadid) elevates the Joe’s brand and highlights the company’s product and image in a new and compelling way,” said Suzy Biszantz, President and CEO of Joe’s. “Bella is truly the definition of today’s new generation of models with her confidence, and modern style.”
The Joe’s campaign features the newest denim fits and washes from the label for the Spring/Summer ’16 season. Among the styles Bella is photographed wearing are the Charlie distressed short in the Nettie Wash and Debbie crop in Ryla wash. Matthew is shown wearing the latest washes available in the brands’ signature Brixton straight and narrow fit, and Collection leather bomber jacket.
Jameel Spencer, Fashion Division President at Sequential Brands Group (Nasdaq:SQBG), owner of the Joe’s brand added, “The ability to create and deploy content in real time speaks directly to how media is being consumed, and Bella and Matthew are proof of how social media can move culture. We are thrilled to have them on board and to launch a campaign that not only delivers the Joe’s brand experience, but allows us to engage with like-minded consumers.”
The campaign will launch this month across multiple digital platforms and Outdoor advertising will run in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. A campaign film and additional creative content will be featured on joesjeans.com.
