Offering the full Windows 10 operating system, the Mesa 2 provides access to abundant software options for data collection needs, and is powerful enough to use in place of a desktop computer. Its display is balanced between a 7-inch viewing area for collecting data and reduced overall weight for minimal worker fatigue and long-term usability.
'The Mesa 2 is in a new class relative to Juniper’s other rugged devices', said Simon Bowe, general manager, Juniper Systems Limited. 'It features the same outstanding quality and ruggedness as our other products, yet offers more software options and greater processing capabilities by running on Windows 10. The Mesa 2 was designed to improve productivity at every phase of data collection, from initial data gathering, to later analysis, to the decision making process. It’s a tablet optimised for efficiency, designed to be "your office, anywhere"'.
The rugged tablet is designed to perform reliably in harsh environments, and is the only IP-68-rated rugged tablet currently available. Completely protected against water and dust ingress, it maintains its seal while the ports are in use – unlike other tablets with unsecured port covers which are vulnerable to water and dust. The Mesa 2 features Juniper Systems’ proprietary IllumiView™ display, providing complete visibility in any light, along with superior durability from the chemically-strengthened Dragontrail™ glass touch screen.
The computer’s battery delivers 8-10 hours of runtime, allowing maximum productivity throughout the workday. An optional expansion battery with an additional 4-5 hours of power is available.
The Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet is expected to ship in early spring. Learn more at Juniper Systems’ website.
