KEC International said Oct. 24, 2026, it won Rs 2,872 crore in orders from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for grid work linked to Gujarat renewable energy, expanding its India order book.
The orders cover design, supply and installation of 765-kilovolt transmission lines. KEC said the work is connected to moving 8.5 gigawatts of renewable power from Gujarat onto the grid.
KEC said the PGCIL orders included its largest-ever single order for its India transmission and distribution (T&D) business. The company said year-to-date order intake had topped Rs 13,500 crore by the announcement, including about Rs 9,500 crore from T&D.
Managing Director and CEO Vimal Kejriwal said rising electricity needs and efforts to reinforce India's transmission network support growth prospects for the T&D market. He said the projects had “substantially expanded” the company's India T&D order book.
