Kalshi said Tuesday it will add deposit limits, trading alerts and education for customers ages 18 to 20. CEO Tarek Mansour separately said the exchange would accept a 21-year minimum trading age.

Kalshi announced Tuesday, Oct. 27, that these customers would receive a default $2,500 monthly deposit limit, along with added protections and trading education. A planned alert would target new traders with balances above $1,000 when a single trade exceeds a quarter of their balance. Kalshi said the prompt would advise affected users to spread their positions.

In an Oct. 28 interview on Bloomberg’s The Circuit, Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour said the exchange would accept a minimum age of 21. He called for working with regulators to establish safeguards and close gaps in current rules. Kalshi is regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Kalshi expected to begin introducing the features shortly after the announcement.
