MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Dec. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Canada) Ltd. (Konica Minolta), a leader in information management, today announces a new release of the award-winning Dispatcher Phoenix family of document workflow automation product offerings, which include industry-specific versions for the Education, Healthcare, Government, Finance and Legal markets. With the introduction of Dispatcher Phoenix 5.6, users will experience enhanced functionality and new features to help improve and maximize their business efficiencies.
The new array of product features and enhancements include:
- An automated Barcode Writer process, which provides an easy way to insert barcodes with labels directly onto documents and files. Dispatcher Phoenix can place barcodes and labels anywhere on the page, using static text, dynamic content from documents, numeric counters, and much more.
- A new connector to Microsoft's popular OneDrive for Business cloud storage platform, which provides our customers with a quick and secure way to scan, process, and upload their files to OneDrive for Business for future collaboration, access, and sharing. Our customers can now leverage the power of their bizhub® Multi-Function Printer (MFP) by accessing their OneDrive for Business account directly at the bizhub touchscreen. For a hands-free solution, files can also be automatically processed and stored in the correct OneDrive for Business directory as well.
- A Google Cloud Print input node. Now our users can print from their PCs, Chromebooks, phones, or tablets using the Google Cloud Print service and send their files directly into Dispatcher Phoenix for seamless processing, routing, and printing.
- SharePoint Connector enhancements, which include support for SharePoint Online as well as new NTLM and Negotiate authentication mechanisms as part of SharePoint 2013 support.
Integrating directly into the Konica Minolta bizhub MFP control panel, Dispatcher Phoenix streamlines document scanning, indexing, processing, and routing using a visually enhanced display. Especially useful for sharing files with teams securely and conveniently, Dispatcher Phoenix includes connectors to leading content management systems and cloud storage solutions, such as SharePoint, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, FileAssist, and others. Dispatcher Phoenix also offers a large variety of processes to suit any business need or vertical market requirement, follow-you print capabilities, and iOS/Android apps for mobile users to access and submit files to their workflows.
"Our customers want a powerful, end-to-end solution that accelerates their workflow and we are responding to their needs with Dispatcher Phoenix's new enhancements," says Norm Bussolaro, director, product marketing.
