Korbit is one of the major cryptocurrency exchanges operating in South Korea, and it recently launched T Universe, SK Telecom’s subscription platform, on its NFT marketplace. The company also added Peaches NFT, a car lifestyle brand.
According to Pulse News, Korbit will be overseeing the creation of the necessary blockchain framework and market for the non-fungible tokens or NFTs. Peaches is based in Seoul and Los Angeles, and it is was formed by a group of car enthusiasts from S. Korea.
With their burning passion for cars, the group went on to establish the Peaches car styling company. The team is composed of producers, visual artists, fashion designers, and music video directors. They have come together and dived into the specialized market for car styling that personalizes rides for stylish owners.
It was added that people who will be participating in SK Telecom’s Galaxy S22 lottery event, which will run for a month starting on Feb. 14, will be eligible to join a contest where they can win T universe and Peach NFTs. The telecom company will pick 2,000 individuals to be awarded the NFTs.
Winners can trade their non-fungible tokens inside the Korbit NFT marketplace, but trading will not begin until the second half of this year. Blockcast reported that Korbit planned the Peaches and SK Telecom’s NFT event with a proper agreement with the companies, so there will be no intellectual property rights (IP) violations.
Aside from the NFTs to be given away in the lottery, participants also have a chance to receive gift benefits. Some of the additional gifts mentioned include a special pass to T Universe and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy Buds 2.
For Peaches NFTs, some of the extra gifts to be won include the car styling company’s limited-edition goods like hats, clothing items, Peaches community admission tickets, and lucky boxes.
SK Telecom will be announcing the winners on Mar. 30, and the list of names will be published on the Korean telecom’s event page. Finally, Korbit’s chief executive officer, Oh Se Jin, proudly confirmed its new partnership with SKT by saying, “I am delighted to be able to introduce a new NFT in our marketplace in partnership with SK Telecom, the largest mobile operator in Korea.”
