Kotak Mahindra Bank’s reported move above a technical resistance level remains unverified after The Economic Times liveblog showed conflicting prices and dated records placed the prior close lower.
The Economic Times put the bank’s shares at ₹444.25, just above its stated R2 resistance of ₹444.23, at 11:51 p.m. EDT Oct. 25. Ten seconds later, the liveblog listed a last-traded price of ₹439.00. It did not identify the exchange feed behind the resistance reading.
StockAnalysis historical records list a ₹430.50 close on Oct. 23, down 1.49%, and a ₹437 close on Oct. 22. A separate National Stock Exchange of India quote page also displayed ₹430.50 and a 1.49% decline.
The bank’s September-quarter results put net interest margin at 4.31%, compared with 4.53% in the June quarter and 4.54% a year earlier. The results release connected the lower margin chiefly to about ₹55,344 crore in FCNR(B) deposits mobilized during the quarter. The earnings figures provide context but do not confirm the liveblog’s intraday readings.
