Kotak Mahindra Bank’s provisional figures showed net advances and deposits each rose more than 23% year over year, while estimates reported by The Economic Times put Q2 profit growth as high as 31.9%.

At Sept. 30, net advances stood at ₹5,77,094 crore, 24.7% above a year earlier and 12.7% higher than in June. Deposits totaled ₹6,51,491 crore, up 23.2% annually and 13.7% sequentially. Current and savings account deposits (CASA) reached ₹2,49,105 crore, an 11.3% annual increase and a 7.8% rise from June. Kotak described the operating balances as provisional and said statutory auditors would review them on a limited basis. They are not the bank’s Q2 earnings results.

The Economic Times attributed profit after tax (PAT) estimates of ₹4,290 crore to Motilal Oswal Financial Services, ₹4,284.6 crore to ICICI Securities and ₹4,120 crore to Dolat Capital. Those figures imply reported year-over-year growth estimates of 31.9%, 31.7% and 27%, respectively. The report did not say whether the estimates cover standalone or consolidated results.

The same report put net interest income (NII) at ₹8,330 crore for Motilal Oswal, ₹8,171.8 crore for ICICI Securities and ₹8,370 crore for Dolat Capital, with estimated annual growth of 14%, 11.8% and 15%. Moneycontrol separately cited Motilal Oswal’s 14% NII growth estimate for Kotak.

Margin estimates differed. Motilal Oswal put net interest margin (NIM) at 4.43%, 10 basis points below the June quarter, while ICICI Securities forecast 4.53%, matching that quarter. Kotak’s Q1FY27 standalone results showed PAT of ₹4,123 crore and NII of ₹7,928 crore for the quarter ended June 30; NIM was 4.53%.

The September update also listed $5.78 billion in FCNR(B) deposits, equivalent to ₹55,344 crore, and ₹16,110 crore in advances against those deposits through international branches. The Economic Times reported that brokerages were watching funding mix and FCNR(B) inflows for possible margin pressure, along with expenses and asset quality.

Kotak’s board is due to consider results for the quarter and half-year ended Sept. 30 on Saturday, Oct. 24. An Oct. 19 filing scheduled the earnings call for 6:30 a.m. EDT (10:30 UTC), after results are sent to stock exchanges.
