Anadolu Agency reported Friday that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said talks among Russia, Ukraine and the United States are planned for Abu Dhabi in the first half of November, giving renewed diplomacy a timetable.

The opening round is expected to bring together the three countries. Peskov said discussions would cover postwar security arrangements for Russia and Ukraine.

He said a discussion of Europe's security order would call for additional participants. Peskov said broader participation could not be ruled out, but gave no timing for it.

Abu Dhabi had been raised earlier as a possible host before the Kremlin gave a date window. Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov had also described Moscow as ready in principle to resume talks around Nov. 10, as EconoTimes reported in its account of Russia's readiness to resume negotiations. Peskov did not name a specific meeting day.
