Following Beyonce cancelling her scheduled performance at this year’s Coachella music fest, Lady Gaga announced that she will be filling in for the “Formation” singer.
On late Tuesday, Reuters said Gaga updated all of her social pages with an image of the music fest’s lineup, with the obvious adjustments” Gaga’s name is now on top of the second day’s schedule, along with the caption “Let's party in the desert!"
US Weekly said Coachella organizers announced that Beyonce, who is already pregnant with twins, will no longer perform at the music fest following doctors’ orders. It was understandable and long speculated considering Beyonce’s last performance was at the 2017 Grammys, as the singer’s bump was pretty visible and could limit her doing the high-energy performances that is her signature. On its official Facebook page on February 23, Coachella organizers ppost a message that read, "Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival."
The news in the performer lineup wasn’t as worrisome as the mass hack confirmed by Coachella this week. In an email to its users, the organizers assure that although no passwords or financial information was stolen, hackers have “illegally gained access to the usernames, first and last names, shipping addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth individuals provided,” NPR reported. However, neither Coachella or its owner Goldenvoice, or Goldenvoice's owner AEG confirmed on whether passwords were stolen or not.
