LiveMint reported the Nifty 50 reached 23,610.70 early Nov. 3 after a 1.68% gain in the prior session, on a day when the index’s scheduled contracts were due to expire.
The outlet timestamped its report at 11:02 p.m. ET Nov. 2 (04:02 UTC Nov. 3) and said the Nifty was up 0.7%. It also put the Sensex at 76,358.79, up 0.87%, and described the advance as a fourth consecutive session of gains.
India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE) data show the Nifty closed Nov. 2 at 23,440.80, adding 387.70 points. Reliance Industries Limited ended the session at ₹1,300, up 11.60%. The NSE’s provisional combined cash-market figures recorded foreign investors as net buyers of ₹31.1468 billion and domestic institutional investors as net sellers of ₹3.922 billion. The figures cover cash-market activity rather than all investor positions.
Reliance Industries Limited’s unaudited consolidated results reported total profit of ₹29,550 crore for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026.
The 23,118–23,207 gap zone was the pivot in Bajaj Broking’s Nov. 2 trade setup: the brokerage said a sustained hold above it could put 23,700–23,800 in view. On the downside, it listed 23,200, 23,000 and 22,800 as support levels, and marked 23,550 and 23,670 as resistance.
NSE contract specifications set Tuesday as the expiry day for Nifty 50 index contracts during the applicable expiry period. If Tuesday is a trading holiday, the contracts expire in the preceding trading session. NSE Indices says the benchmark comprises 50 stocks across 13 sectors and represented about 49% of the free-float market capitalization of NSE-listed stocks on Sept. 30, 2026.
