A one-hour crypto liquidation tally across Binance, Bybit and OKX reached $97.21 million, with long positions making up 98% of the total and leaving short liquidations far lower.

Public liquidation data covering the three platforms showed the amount in the hour ending at 10:30 p.m. ET Nov. 3 (03:30 UTC Nov. 4), when 13,439 events were recorded.

Of the total, $95.03 million came from liquidated long positions and $2.18 million from short positions, a difference of $92.85 million. The long-side figure exceeded the short-side amount by more than a factor of 43.

Binance had the highest venue total at $69.68 million. OKX recorded $14.96 million and Bybit $12.57 million.

Long positions generally benefit from rising prices, while short positions generally benefit from falling prices. An exchange closes a leveraged trade when its margin drops below the required level, a process known as liquidation.

The tally covers activity on these three exchanges only and does not represent liquidations across the entire crypto market.
