Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) reported consolidated profit after tax of ₹454.57 crore for Q2 FY27, more than double the year-earlier result, while average daily turnover increased in both options and futures.

The board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated results on Nov. 3 for the quarter and half year ended Sept. 30, 2026. Consolidated profit after tax was ₹454.57 crore, compared with ₹197.47 crore in Q2 FY26, an increase of about 130%.

Revenue from operations reached ₹799.66 crore, up from ₹374.23 crore in the corresponding year-earlier quarter, a rise of about 114%. The profit and revenue figures compare the same three-month period across consecutive fiscal years.

MCX reported average daily options turnover of ₹1,200,129 crore in Q2 FY27, up 224.8% from ₹369,512 crore a year earlier. Futures turnover averaged ₹62,819 crore, a 50.6% increase from ₹41,725 crore. These turnover figures are average daily amounts, while profit and revenue are reported for the quarter as a whole.

Options turnover grew faster than futures turnover and the reported profit and revenue measures. The comparisons show increases across both trading segments, with the largest percentage gain in options.

Managing Director and CEO Praveena Rai said results reflected activity across MCX’s product segments and participation by market users. She also pointed to the exchange’s efforts to expand its product range. The company did not break out how much each factor contributed to the quarter’s results.

MCX said it accounted for more than 98% of the value of commodity futures contracts traded in India during H1 FY27.

MCX scheduled an investor and analyst call to discuss the results for Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 5:30 a.m. ET (10:30 UTC), or 4 p.m. IST.
