Dayton, Ohio, Jan. 03, 2017 -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cyber security, and product solutions, announced today that it has acquired Enlighten IT Consulting (EITC), an award-winning provider of secure cloud engineering, big data analytics, and software solutions for Defense and Commercial customers. This is MacB’s third major acquisition in four years, with Secure Computing and Communications in 2013, and Commonwealth Technology, Inc. in 2014. The acquisition of EITC adds significant capabilities to MacB’s already strong portfolio of high-end solutions, enabling the company to have a broader impact to mission success across highly sought after customer markets. EITC will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary, reporting directly to MacB President and Chief Executive Officer, Sid Fuchs.
EITC was founded in 2007 to provide secure cloud engineering, analytics, and big data solutions to the Defense and Intelligence communities. The company also developed its proprietary Rapid Analytic Deployment and Management Framework (RADMF) for the key analytic components of the Big Data Platform (BDP). RADMF deploys within minutes and eliminates hardware, power, space and sustainability requirements and utilizes Amazon Web Services (AWS), the first cloud-computing service provider to achieve Security Level 3-5 Authorization with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). With extensive Amazon GovCloud (US) and automated cloud provisioning experience, EITC engineers are leaders in cloud services innovation and were recently recognized as a key partner at the AWS Global Partner Summit.
The company also provides Network Operations (NetOps) monitoring, cyber threat detection and mitigation, and insider threat identification across numerous DoD datasets. Current customers for EITC include U.S. Army Cyber Command, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Program Executive Officer (PEO) Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), and U.S. Cyber Command. In 2016, EITC was named Government Contractor of the Year (up to $25M) by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce at the Greater Washington Government Contractor (GovCon) Award event, which recognizes leading companies and executives from the Washington D.C. area.
“My vision has always been to take MacB into a direction that is more reflective of transformational capabilities that meet customers’ future mission needs in an evolving business environment,” said Mr. Fuchs. “Adding EITC to the MacB portfolio, along with our previous acquisitions, showcases a strategy that is on target and enables us to expand into highly valued markets with leading-edge capabilities. The collective skills of our employees will drive future innovation, mission success, and increased value for customers. On behalf of the entire MacB family, we welcome our new EITC colleagues to the MacB team.”
“MacB’s EITC acquisition not only complements our current cyber security offerings, but also adds additional engineering capabilities and scale that will have a significant impact on our ability to support National Security customers,” said Shawn Justice, President and CEO of EITC. “We look forward to expanding our capabilities and solutions for current and future customers, while simultaneously utilizing the extensive resources of MacB’s industry-leading customer solutions and mission support.”
Bluestone Capital Partners served as the exclusive advisor to EITC on this transaction.
