LAS VEGAS, April 25, 2018 -- Magento Commerce, the worldwide leader in cloud digital commerce innovation, today announced two initiatives to support and enrich its global ecosystem. The Magento Association and Community Insider Program are designed to drive more collaboration with and support for over 315,000 developers and 4,000 agencies.
For nearly a decade, Meet Magento has organized and hosted Magento-focused events around the world, bringing community members together to learn, share and collaborate on commerce problems. Today Magento Commerce announced that it will partner with the Meet Magento Association and the entire global Magento Community to create a new Magento Association. The Magento Association will be dedicated to fostering and supporting technology projects, community events, training and education, and online collaboration. Magento Commerce will work with the community to finalize the structure and strategy to launch the new association before the end of the year.
In addition, Magento Commerce announced the creation of the Community Insider Program. The program provides individual developers and small agencies direct access to tools and resources to expand their knowledge and skill set, and to help grow their businesses. It will also accelerate developer efforts to help merchants launch and build dynamic online stores using Magento Commerce technologies. In addition, there will be a clear path for developers and agencies to evolve from Community Insiders to Solution and Technology Partners.
“Our community is truly an extension of Magento Commerce and a vital part of what differentiates Magento from other ecommerce providers,” said Andrea Ward, CMO of Magento Commerce. “We are committed to working with this great group of merchants, developers and partners to build resources and programs that help them deliver exceptional experiences to merchants at unprecedented scale and speed.”
