India-based Mankind Pharma's consolidated profit after tax rose 37.7% in the quarter ended Sept. 30, as exports led its business segments and consumer healthcare revenue barely moved.
After-tax earnings on a consolidated basis totaled ₹716.12 crore, up from ₹520.18 crore in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue from operations reached ₹4,337.86 crore, a 17.3% increase from ₹3,697.16 crore. The results cover July through September 2026, the second quarter of the company's 2026-27 fiscal year. Profit growth outpaced the increase in revenue from operations.
An investor presentation the company filed with BSE puts export revenue at ₹681 crore, after a 32.7% year-over-year rise. Domestic revenue excluding consumer healthcare came in at ₹3,428 crore, 15.9% above the prior year. The consumer healthcare line generated ₹229 crore after a 1.2% gain. The presentation reports consumer healthcare separately from other domestic revenue, so the two growth rates describe distinct business lines. Exports had the fastest percentage growth among the three reported lines.
During the six months ended Sept. 30, 2026, revenue from operations reached ₹8,368.45 crore, up 15.1%, while consolidated profit after tax was ₹1,290.21 crore, a 33.7% increase. Both six-month growth rates were below the respective second-quarter rates. The board approved the results on Oct. 26.
Mankind Pharma credited execution and firmer business fundamentals for its quarterly performance, and also pointed to activity in domestic and international markets. Rajeev Juneja, the company's vice chairman and managing director, described the proposed Armed Cell transaction as a strategic move into next-generation CAR-T therapies and a way to expand research and development capabilities.
Under terms announced Oct. 15, Mankind Pharma would pay €48 million for a 70% stake in Belgium-based Armed Cell Therapeutics. The company described the planned purchase as an entry into next-generation CAR-T cancer therapy work. Its announcement set out a definitive agreement and did not say the transaction had closed.
