Maple Finance originated $8.3 billion in loans during the first nine months, but its $1.67 billion outstanding balance fell 9% from Q2, separating lending volume from loans remaining on its books.

The $1.67 billion balance was 9% lower than in Q2 and 12% higher than at the same point a year earlier. From January through Q3, Maple’s book advanced 3%, while loans in the tracked DeFi pool fell 29%; Maple made up 17% of that total.

Over the first three quarters, Maple originated $8.3 billion in loans, up 75% from the corresponding period a year earlier. That figure records lending completed across a span of time; the outstanding balance is the portion still on the books at quarter-end.

Revenue was $4.4 million for the quarter, equal to Q2 and 5% above its year-earlier amount.

Maple launched syrupUSDG on Arbitrum, Ink and Solana, and syrupUSDC on Arc during the quarter. It plans to add financing for fintech receivables and lending against rated securities.
