Marriott International will report third-quarter results Nov. 2, after a 43% second-quarter drop in Middle East revenue per available room contrasted with gains in other regions.
The company’s August forecast set Q3 worldwide revenue per available room (RevPAR) growth at 3.5% to 4%. It also projected adjusted diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.74 to $2.82 and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $1.439 billion to $1.468 billion. For 2026, Marriott forecast RevPAR growth of 3% to 3.5% and adjusted diluted EPS of $11.64 to $11.81.
Zacks Equity Research reported a Q3 consensus estimate of $2.87 per share, 16.2% above the $2.47 figure for the year-earlier quarter. Marriott’s Q3 2025 release identifies that earlier figure as adjusted diluted EPS; Zacks did not specify whether its estimate uses the same measure.
Marriott’s second-quarter results varied by market. RevPAR increased 5% in the U.S. and Canada, while international markets declined 0.5%; worldwide RevPAR rose 3.4%. In Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), RevPAR fell more than 5%. Marriott reported a 43% decline in the Middle East and growth in Europe. President and CEO Anthony Capuano said “headwinds from the conflict in the Middle East more than offset solid RevPAR growth across our other international regions.”
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said the Brent crude spot price averaged $114 per barrel in September, $23 above August, following increased attacks on oil infrastructure and tankers around the Middle East. Marriott tied regional hotel weakness to the conflict but did not quantify an effect from oil prices on its business.
Franchise and base management fees brought in $1.366 billion in Q2, up 14% year over year. Marriott said co-branded credit-card fees, room growth and RevPAR contributed to the increase. Its development pipeline reached about 629,000 rooms at quarter-end, nearly 7% above a year earlier. Marriott scheduled its results release for about 7 a.m. ET Monday, Nov. 2, with an investor call at 8 a.m. ET.
