Mastercard is due to release third-quarter results Oct. 29, giving investors the first quarterly figures since its BVNK acquisition after the payments company’s shares reached a record close on Oct. 16.
The shares finished Oct. 16 at $617.42. The coming report covers the quarter in which Mastercard completed its purchase of BVNK on Aug. 3. The acquisition expanded Mastercard’s stablecoin payment capabilities.
In the second quarter, Mastercard recorded $9.3 billion in net revenue, up 14% from a year earlier. On an adjusted basis, Mastercard earned $5.04 per diluted share. Cross-border payment volume rose 12% in local-currency terms, while net revenue from value-added services and solutions grew 20% as reported.
Mastercard and BVNK introduced a platform combining tools for traditional currencies and stablecoins on Oct. 15, after the third quarter ended. The launch therefore falls outside the period covered by the upcoming results.
Mastercard has scheduled a call to discuss the results for 9 a.m. ET (13:00 UTC) on Oct. 29.
