LOS ANGELES, Feb. 02, 2017 -- Englander Knabe & Allen (EKA) firm's partners elected Matt Knabe to the role of Managing Partner succeeding Harvey Englander who will now assume the role of Founding Partner.
“Matt has a true passion for public affairs and government advocacy, and I look forward to him continuing to build on the strong foundation the firm has created since I first opened the doors in 2005,” said Founding Partner Harvey Englander.
“Matt’s leadership, vision, and depth of relationships have helped us become the pre-eminent firm in our industry in Southern California. I am confident that with Matt as our Managing Partner we will continue to expand our client services throughout Southern California and he will also be increasing our client offerings in land use and advocacy services, campaign management, media and community relations, reputation and crisis management and litigation support,” added Englander.
The change in the firm’s governance structure is the culmination of a yearlong strategic planning process designed to accommodate EKA’s continuing expansion. As Managing Partner, Matt assumes leadership in the management of the firm including strategic planning and business development activities. As Founding Partner, Harvey will concentrate on preparing EKA for future growth by extending the breadth of services that address the needs of our diverse clients. Harvey will continue to provide senior level communications, public affairs and political counsel to current and future clients.
“It's a great responsibility and honor to follow in Harvey’s footsteps. Under his leadership, EKA has become the largest public affairs and advocacy firm in the Southern California.
