McDonald’s stopped operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina last night and will keep its restaurants in the country closed until further notice due to license issues.
The global fast food chain had its three restaurants in Sarajevo and two in Mostar.
Just a few weeks back, McDonald’s renovated a restaurant in the Sarajevo settlement of Nedzarici, with a completely new concept and design.
Thee first McDonald’s restaurant in Sarajevo opened on July 20th, 2011, with former mayor Alija Behmen officially eating the first hamburger from this restaurant.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is the 118th country to host a McDonald’s restaurant.
