Mesh would arrange funding and identity checks for purchases made from participating wallets on Visa’s network, a planned setup that could let customers spend crypto, stablecoin or fiat balances at checkout.
A Visa payment credential would be provisioned for participating wallets, enabling in-store or online purchases. Mesh would arrange the funds and convert assets as needed. Retailers could use their existing terminals and checkout flow, and would receive a standard Visa payment.
Mesh said it would manage customer onboarding, including identity checks. It also said wallet providers could offer Visa payments without running their own card programs. Mesh described the service as a way to avoid cashing out or obtaining a separate card before spending wallet balances.
Mesh said it would disclose participating platforms, supported devices and initial availability as rollout plans are finalized. Its announcement gave no launch date. EconoTimes previously covered the partnership in an earlier report on the planned wallet payments.
