Exhibitors at Milipol Qatar presented drones, robots and AI systems for security and emergency work, while West Bay Petroleum’s general manager told Euronews drones could aid searches and leak inspections.

The 16th edition took place Oct. 20-22, 2026, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in Doha. Exhibits addressed traffic control, mobile command systems and emergency response.

Traffic Tech (Gulf) W.L.L. promoted a device it called a “flying traffic signal.” Euronews described it in a Nov. 2 report as a drone carrying traffic lights.

Heronys said its AI Command Center Van debuted at the event. The company describes it as a mobile control room that provides live video and onboard AI analytics. Fusion Technology said it displayed a humanoid robot carrying a wearable camera made by Hikvision.

Euronews also reported seeing a remotely operated robot and boats intended for missions without crews aboard. The report did not identify their manufacturers.

Alexandros Lakatamitis, West Bay Petroleum’s general manager, told Euronews drones could help search large areas for missing people by analyzing flight photographs. He also described using a drone with gas-detection equipment to check a suspected industrial leak before sending a person into the area. “The security bubble that we’ve enjoyed for so long is no longer there,” Lakatamitis said.

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior (MOI) reported that the fair drew more than 270 local and international exhibitors and over 16,000 visitors, 10% above the previous edition. The ministry said 96 deals were signed, worth QAR 819,772,612 in total.

The official program for the Doha International Conference on AI and Security listed sessions on responsible AI use, governance and autonomous security systems.

The next Milipol Qatar is scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2028.
