Indian stocks rebounded Monday after four sessions of losses, while Mint reported trading levels for three shares as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's Oct. 27-28 policy meeting.
The Nifty 50 advanced 153.20 points, or 0.68%, to 22,753.20. The Sensex gained 482.92 points, or 0.66%, to 73,606.75. Market reports from HDFC SKY and Upstox gave the same closing figures.
HDFC SKY cited elevated oil prices and uncertainty ahead of the Fed decision as concerns. Upstox also named Shriram Finance among Monday's decliners.
Mint reported that Motilal Oswal Financial Services analyst Chandan Taparia set a ₹2,180-per-share target and a ₹1,990-per-share stop-loss for Laurus Labs, a pharmaceutical manufacturer. The levels were part of his reported Oct. 27 trading call.
For Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), which operates a commodity derivatives exchange, Mint reported a ₹3,300-per-share target and a ₹3,020-per-share stop-loss. The report said Taparia made the prospect of further gains conditional on a sustained move above ₹3,150 per share.
Mint reported a ₹2,120-per-share target and a ₹1,930-per-share stop-loss for Coforge, a digital services provider. It said Taparia identified a move above ₹2,020 per share as a possible trigger. The report gave no entry price or deadline for reaching any of the three targets.
Motilal Oswal's research guidance says targets express a view and do not guarantee returns. HDFC SKY said investors were watching the Fed decision as Indian shares recovered. The Federal Open Market Committee meets Oct. 27-28.
