MoneyGram has brought transfers, cash collection and digital money management into a redesigned service, extending its remittance network into the steps customers take after an international payment arrives.

The company said Oct. 19 that its MoneyGram Online app and website now include bill payments and mobile phone top-ups alongside transfers and cash access. Dollar balances are offered in select markets, and stablecoin technology supports the experience.

The app adds a direct route from senders in the United States to MoneyGram app users in Colombia, El Salvador and other eligible markets. Depending on the transfer corridor, senders can direct funds to a bank account, debit card, digital wallet, retail location or another app user. Recipients can manage funds in the app and collect cash at participating retail locations.

The digital balance grew out of earlier country rollouts. MoneyGram outlined plans for an app balance in Colombia in September 2025; its April 2026 update said the feature was live there and stablecoin-backed app services had expanded to El Salvador. The October launch places transfer and cash tools alongside those digital features.

MoneyGram Chairman and CEO Anthony Soohoo described global money movement as “increasingly fragmented,” framing the updated experience as a response to disconnected ways people send, receive and use money. The company says bringing those functions together is intended to address that fragmentation and connect senders with recipients after a transfer arrives.

The app experience supports 40 languages, and MoneyGram says the updated service is live in supported markets. The company describes its wider network as covering more than 200 countries and territories, with more than 5 billion digital endpoints and nearly 500,000 retail locations. Those figures describe the overall network; the company says delivery options vary by transfer corridor.
