A possible data exposure at Muji may involve about 1.09 million customer records, The Straits Times reported, with a subset of roughly 345,000 records containing full numbers for currently valid cards and dates of birth.

Ryohin Keikaku, Muji's Japanese operator, disclosed the possible exposure Nov. 4 after unauthorized access to its system, according to the report. The overall figure counts customer records; the card-number and birth-date details were tied to the smaller Muji Card subset.

In late October, the company said up to 27.26 million customer records may have been exposed following unauthorized access to its Muji App, The Straits Times reported.
