UAE-Mumbai travelers may need to check their bookings for Nov. 19, when Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) plans to suspend flights during six hours of runway work, Gulf News reported.

Gulf News reported that the closure will affect RWY 09/27 and RWY 14/32. Gulf News gave the closure window as 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. UTC (11 a.m. to 5 p.m. IST and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. UAE time).

The report described the work as CSMIA’s annual maintenance after the monsoon season, intended to keep airport infrastructure in line with global standards. CSMIA said it opened discussions with airlines and other stakeholders half a year ahead of the shutdown, focusing on schedules and staffing, according to the outlet.

Passengers traveling between Mumbai and the UAE should confirm their flight status and departure and arrival times with their airlines before leaving, Gulf News reported. The closure may lead to schedule changes.
