Murphy Oil Corporation raised its 2026 production outlook after third-quarter output exceeded the high end of its forecast, citing portfolio performance. It separately reported $854.974 million in total revenues and other income and adjusted diluted EPS of $1.08.
Murphy raised its full-year average production guidance to 176,000 to 178,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD). Third-quarter production averaged 186,500 BOEPD, above the upper end of the quarter’s guidance. Murphy said its revised annual range reflected stronger performance across its portfolio.
The company cited accelerated activity in the Eagle Ford, outperformance from new wells, lower royalties in Tupper Montney and minimal storm downtime in the Gulf of America as factors behind production results.
Total revenues and other income reached $854.974 million, compared with $732.985 million a year earlier, a 16.6% increase. Revenue from production was $849.175 million, up from $720.966 million in the same period a year earlier.
Adjusted diluted earnings per share was $1.08. Murphy also paid $50 million in dividends to shareholders during the quarter.
