NBCC (India) Limited shares climbed 9.29% on Nov. 2 as ETMarkets.com reported the company appeared in a five-stock technical screen, while one listed stock fell short of the report’s stated gain threshold.
Data from the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) showed NBCC closed at ₹76.13, up from ₹69.66 at the previous close. The stock opened at ₹70.05, touched a low of ₹70.01 and reached a high of ₹76.50.
ETMarkets.com reported that StockEdge’s White Marubozu scan for Nov. 2 included NBCC, JK Tyre & Industries, Jindal Saw, Amber Enterprises India and KEC International. The outlet described the group as gaining more than 6%, but its listed figures show JK Tyre up 7.17%, Jindal Saw up 6.74%, Amber Enterprises up 6.10% and KEC up 5.87%. KEC therefore did not reach the stated threshold.
StockEdge treats a White Marubozu as a bullish signal for sessions when buying pressure leaves the close near the day’s high. StockEdge says its scans use completed-session data. NBCC’s reported open was above its low and its close below its high; StockEdge’s public explanation does not specify how much difference its scan allows between those prices.
Separately, NBCC said Nov. 2 it was undertaking the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit project at Haldighati under a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan. The state-sanctioned cost is about ₹168.39 crore, excluding goods and services tax, and includes a project management consultancy fee equal to 4.25% of actual project cost. The filing does not state the revenue or profit NBCC expects from the project. EconoTimes covered the Haldighati project filing on Nov. 2.
NBCC also disclosed work orders worth about ₹70.50 crore on Nov. 2: ₹47.03 crore for additional work on an Oil India Limited housing project and ₹23.47 crore for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
The company’s board is scheduled to meet Thursday, Nov. 5, to consider unaudited results for the quarter and half-year ended Sept. 30 and whether to declare a second interim dividend.
