NDTV Profit reported Nov. 3 that BOBCARD’s lounge list fell from 83 to 33, describing the remaining venues as domestic departure lounges.

The Nov. 3 report cited LoungeInsider for the count. NDTV Profit said international-terminal facilities had been removed and named O’Vectra and VIP lounges at Bengaluru airport among the affected sites.

BOBCARD’s online terms index includes a 2026 document for domestic lounge eligibility, but does not show the locations. A separate issuer document dated Oct. 31, 2025, listed 080 VIP Lounge and 080 VIP International Lounge at Bengaluru Terminal 2.

A separate BOBCARD policy change concerns cardholder spending. The issuer’s revision notice set July 15, 2026, as the effective date for raising the preceding-quarter spending threshold for unlimited domestic lounge access on Eterna, Eterna (FD), Tiara and Varunah Premium to ₹75,000 from ₹40,000.

A BOBCARD program update dated Jan. 1, 2025, made quarterly spending a condition of domestic lounge eligibility, with requirements varying by card. The issuer’s access guidance says entry also depends on the card’s conditions and whether a participating lounge is available; visit allowances differ across products. NDTV Profit cited lounge-operator costs as a broader pressure behind tighter benefits, but did not give a BOBCARD explanation for the reported list change.

The spending threshold and the reported roster reduction concern separate conditions for complimentary entry. If the reported exclusions took effect, cardholders who used those venues would lose access there or face paid entry. Travelers can check the eligibility document and terms for their card before departure.
