A six-stock Diwali list from Anand Rathi assigns State Bank of India (SBI) a target of ₹1,337 and stated upside of 35%, according to NDTV Profit’s Nov. 3 account.

NDTV Profit described the selections as a six-stock Buy list for Samvat 2083. Alongside SBI, it names HDFC Asset Management Company (HDFC AMC), Tech Mahindra, Shilpa Medicare, Cemindia Projects and Indo-MIM. The companies span mining and metals, banking, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and information technology.

The account gives SBI a report-listed CMP of ₹987 alongside the target. It does not state when that CMP applied or the period the target covers. NDTV Profit said SBI had the highest stated upside among the six picks.

Anand Rathi’s case for SBI, as summarized by NDTV Profit, points to expected growth in deposits and lending, retail deposits as a low-cost source of funding, a diversified loan book and improving asset quality. The outlet said these factors were expected to support earnings and profitability.

For HDFC AMC, NDTV Profit lists a ₹2,800 target and report-listed CMP of ₹2,380, with 18% stated upside. Its account does not give a reference date for that CMP or a period for the target. The HDFC AMC case also included expansion into alternative investment products, profitability, retail reach and equity exposure in assets under management (AUM); NDTV Profit cited expected growth in the mutual fund market as the wider backdrop. It identified market share, fund performance and competitive pressure as factors to monitor.

NDTV Profit did not provide individual targets or detailed rationales for Tech Mahindra, Shilpa Medicare, Cemindia Projects or Indo-MIM, so its account does not give figures for a full six-stock target comparison.

EconoTimes has separately covered SBI Securities’ 11-stock Diwali list for Samvat 2083, a different brokerage basket for the same year.

NDTV Profit said the attached research was prepared by an outside party, disclaimed responsibility for its accuracy and said it did not constitute investment advice.
