NEAR Protocol (NEAR) shed 18 cents in an hour on Binance on Friday, Oct. 16, even as its 24-hour reading stayed positive and long liquidations totaled $950,000 across three exchanges.

At 11:25 a.m. ET (15:25 UTC), the NEAR/USDT spot market on Binance was quoted at $5.10. It had stood at $5.28 one hour before. The asset’s 24-hour measure showed a 1.43% gain at that snapshot. A tally for Binance, Bybit and OKX recorded no short liquidations in the hour.

The Binance quote and the three-exchange tally measure separate pools of activity. The price point uses Binance’s NEAR/USDT spot market; Bybit and OKX also feature in the liquidation count. The 24-hour gain covers a longer period than the hourly move.

At 2:35 p.m. ET Thursday, Oct. 15, Binance quoted NEAR at $5.35, according to EconoTimes’ earlier price update. That report described a four-hour rise to that level, alongside a separate one-hour liquidation measure. The Friday snapshot adds a subsequent reading for the same asset.
