At a rally Wednesday, Oct. 21, U.S. President Donald Trump said he had not received the Nobel Peace Prize, according to EconoTimes’ report, after the Norwegian Nobel Committee named its 2026 laureate.
Navanethem “Navi” Pillay was named the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize laureate on Oct. 9. The South African human rights lawyer and judge was recognized by the committee for efforts to advance peace and international law.
EconoTimes also reported that Trump said his writing merited a Pulitzer Prize. The report named no work or Pulitzer category and described the remark amid Trump’s criticism of coverage of Russia’s role in the 2016 U.S. election.
The 2018 National Reporting Pulitzer was shared by teams at The New York Times and The Washington Post. It recognized coverage of Russian interference in the 2016 election and links to Trump’s campaign, transition and administration.
