“We are proud to have developed so many strong partnerships with corporate allies who see LGBTQ equality as a crucial issue for our country and for their businesses,” said HRC President Chad Griffin.
“We’re honored by this recognition of our long-standing commitment to equality and our focus on fostering a culture of inclusion,” said Jon Kroehler, chief human resources officer, Navient. “We know that being deliberately inclusive – being truly welcoming and supportive of all persons in our practices and policies – is both the right approach and the approach that drives positive company performance because of the terrific workforce it helps us attract.”
The 2018 CEI rated more than 5,000 businesses and evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, full parity partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, educational programs and public engagement to support the LGBTQ community.
Navient’s efforts to satisfy all CEI criteria resulted in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
