Short liquidations in Near Protocol (NEAR) totaled $650,000 across three exchanges in the hour ending at 8:02 p.m. ET Oct. 20, while its Binance spot quote reached $5.04.
Binance’s market pairing NEAR with Tether (USDT) had quoted the asset at $4.79 an hour earlier. The reported one-hour gain was 5.20%, and the 24-hour reading showed a 2.57% increase at the later snapshot.
The liquidation tally covered Binance, Bybit and OKX. Long liquidations across those exchanges came to $150,000 over the same hour, leaving the short-side total more than four times as large. The $5.04 figure was a quote from one Binance spot pair; the liquidation figures covered all three exchanges.
The evening reading followed a different picture earlier that day. At 10:07 a.m. ET Oct. 20, Binance quoted NEAR at $4.85 and its 24-hour measure showed a 1.72% decline, as an earlier EconoTimes price update recorded. That 24-hour measure was positive by the evening snapshot.
