Nestlé India shares finished lower on Oct. 22, a week after the company posted year-over-year gains in sales and profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026.

Historical pricing from S&P Global Market Intelligence, distributed by Stock Analysis, put the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) close at ₹1,189.90, down 2.78%. Business Standard reported the same NSE close and separately listed a BSE quote of ₹1,190, down 2.38%.

Stock Analysis listed a session low of ₹1,182.60 and volume of 2,034,363 shares. The Economic Times’ liveblog gave a separate volume figure of 1,993,225 shares.

The Economic Times reported a technical reading below its S3 support marker. At 12:15 a.m. ET (04:15 UTC; 9:45 a.m. IST), its liveblog listed the share price at ₹1,195.10 and the marker at ₹1,195.90.

Nestlé India’s board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated results on Oct. 15 for the quarter and half year ended Sept. 30, 2026. The company reported quarterly standalone total sales of ₹6,782.2 crore and profit after tax of ₹1,026.8 crore, increases of 20.5% and 36.3%, respectively, from the year-earlier quarter. The results came with a limited review report from statutory auditor S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP.

Nestlé India said double-digit volume growth supported its sales increase. Manish Tiwary, the company’s chairman and managing director, cited food inflation and commodity costs as business pressures. “Rising inflation, particularly food inflation, is a reality,” he said.

The company expected coffee and wheat prices to stay within ranges and said sugar and edible-oil prices had leveled off at elevated levels. It described cocoa as volatile amid weather-related crop concerns and said milk prices had strengthened seasonally. Nestlé India said productivity measures and operational efficiencies were part of its response to cost pressures.
