GroupBTC France, a subsidiary of ATM Bitcoin Exchange, has announced its international expansion by installing a bitcoin ATM in Montpellier city in France, marking it as the first town in the region of Occitania to get the digital currency ATM.
According to the official blog post, France has already four devices of this type that are fully operational. The machine allows purchasing and selling of bitcoins (two-way bitcoin ATM) and is administered remotely through maximum security protocols, such as two-factor authentication and hardware tokens (loosely translated).
The ATM’s GUI (graphic user interface) is centered on usability, which is the result through the testing and study of consumer reactions to hundreds of previously existing equipment on the market. The machine is also equipped with multimedia content that is designed to explain the user, the basics of bitcoin and how to use the ATM. The company website has also included a video that details the usage of ATM (loosely translated).
“Group BTC France is part of ATMs Bitcoin Exchange, a company founded in Girona in January 2015 with the aim of installing and managing ATMs bitcoins, has 18 units in Spain and begins its international expansion with the installation of Montpellier which will continue others in southern France and Greece over the coming months,” the blog stated (loosely translated).
