FREMONT, Calif., Nov. 10, 2016 -- Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (Nasdaq:EFII) today announced that it has again partnered with Canon® to make available new EFI™ Fiery® digital front ends (DFEs) for the new Canon imageRUNNER® ADVANCE Series C7500 multifunction color systems (MFPs) designed to produce vivid, impactful prints in high volume offices and demanding multi-user environments. The existing Canon ColorPASS-GX500 and the new imagePASS-N1 servers run on the latest Fiery FS200 Pro/FS200 platform. Users can choose the Fiery solution that best meets their needs with a fully integrated front end solution when they acquire a Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7580i/C7570i/C7565i model.
"We are excited to extend Fiery DFE technology to the high-priority color needs of multi-user environments," said Toyotsugu Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "In partnership with EFI, Canon is dedicated to bringing the best possible color technology to high-volume office environments with Fiery Driven™ MFPs that provide powerful performance and help enhance customer productivity."
“EFI is pleased to continue its long-running partnership with Canon by delivering these two Fiery Driven solutions for the latest Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE offerings,” said John Henze, vice president of marketing, EFI Fiery. “Canon customers can take advantage of the familiar Command WorkStation® user interface as they adopt these new systems, and choose the best Fiery front end for their environments.”
Fiery Driven front ends for the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series feature:
- Performance. These two servers run on the latest Fiery FS200 platform, delivering the ultimate in print quality productivity and versatility expected from the imageRUNNER ADVANCE family. Users can produce a variety of print applications and personalized communications with high-quality color using Fiery make-ready tools such as Impose, Compose and Fiery VUE. For the ColorPASS-GX500, Fiery JobMaster™, Fiery JobFlow™ and the Graphic Arts Package, Premium Edition add even more capabilities.
- Integration. The Fiery FS200 platform makes integration with other JDF-compliant systems easy. Fiery servers also support printing using the optional Canon uniFLOW software to enable users to take advantage of the full suite of uniFLOW modules including accounting and reporting, secure printing, print room management, job routing, and scanning.
- Integrated LCD. The ColorPASS-GX500 features the “unity display” external monitor that gives users the ability to switch between EFI Fiery Command WorkStation® and the imageRUNNER ADVANCE engine control panel. This allows users to remotely monitor paper trays, check paper information, check the status of jobs in the queue, specify paper type for each paper source, check remaining toner, etc., which increases the overall efficiency of the solution.
- Ease of Use. These servers support the latest version of Fiery Command WorkStation, which offers new ways to prioritize print production.
