Nicki Minaj described President Donald Trump as having recovered from financial hardship, a point she said showed he understood economics, in a video White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shared from Air Force One.
Cheung posted the video on X on Oct. 25 while traveling with Minaj to Trump’s Michigan campaign rally. His caption joked, “I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!” The post did not announce an appointment.
In the clip, Minaj said Trump was “naturally a businessman.” She recalled that he had worked his way out of having no money left in the bank, and pointed to that history in explaining why she believed he could lead the country. She also described his foreign policy as tough.
