(Nasdaq:MIFI), a leading global provider of solutions for the Internet of Things, today announced that its award-winning MiFi 6620 mobile hotspot is now approved to support Verizon Wireless' (NASDAQ:VZ) LTE in Rural America (LRA) program, with availability later this month.
The LRA program has made it possible for participating carriers servicing rural, remote communities with little access to reliable connectivity to offer advanced 4G LTE communication technology in unique ways and unique places. The availability of the MiFi 6620 makes it possible for customers of the LRA participating carriers to benefit from valuable services enabled by 4G LTE communications such as internet connectivity for home, school, and business use, mobile healthcare, railway communications, and reliable access to weather reports to rural farming communities.
The MiFi 6620 offers simultaneous connectivity for up to 15 devices, provides up to 20 hours of use on a single charge, and uniquely doubles as a charger for devices such as smartphones and tablets. The MiFi 6620 comes equipped with an external antenna port along with advanced enterprise-grade security features including, VPN support, anti-hacking and website filtering controls.

The LRA spectrum Verizon has leased covers over 225,000 square miles in 169 rural counties across 15 states. The program has reached over 2.7 million people in the most remote areas of the country.
