The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has issued October notices spanning stablecoin oversight, climate-disclosure rules and bank enforcement, outlining several priorities for U.S. financial supervision.

Two bulletins dated Oct. 21 address reporting procedures for payment stablecoin issuers under OCC supervision and the process for requesting waivers or filing applications. The OCC also finalized its GENIUS Act rule for covered issuers. EconoTimes previously covered the OCC’s final rule for payment stablecoin issuers.

A news release Thursday, Oct. 29, set out the agency’s concerns about California’s climate disclosure laws. A Tuesday, Oct. 27, release discussed Comptroller Gould’s efforts concerning community banks. The OCC also listed an Oct. 22 notice of enforcement actions for the month.

An Oct. 23 bulletin presents interest-rate-risk statistics. The OCC says examiners review the financial condition of supervised banks and assess whether they meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The agency’s events listing includes a Wednesday, Nov. 4, session in Indianapolis titled Building Blocks Workshop | Strong Management: Ready and Responsible.
