Turkish investment group OYAK plans to launch its Hektas Asia LLC facility in Tashkent in 2027, creating a production base for agricultural chemicals aimed at Central Asian markets, Anadolu Agency reported.
OYAK Holding CEO Murat Yalcintas said the facility is planned to make high-tech products that protect crops. He also described a project involving capital from Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Oman.
Yalcintas said OYAK aims to boost local production and regional food-supply security while supporting Uzbekistan’s goal of becoming an export hub for Central Asian markets. Yalcintas said Uzbekistan’s investment climate, reform agenda and strategic location are drawing interest from Turkish businesses.
