A Madrid session on Oct. 29 will examine who could decide changes to the European Union’s crypto rules, as the European Commission reviews the scope of MiCA and Spain’s securities regulator joins the discussion.
Victor Rodríguez Quejido, director general of Strategic Policy and International Affairs at Spain’s Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), is due to take part at Palacio de Cibeles.
The discussion is set to examine the decision-making process for any rule revisions and their potential effects across European markets. The Commission is assessing how MiCA functions amid changing markets and policy priorities, including whether its framework accounts for emerging activities.
