October’s reported withdrawals from emerging markets varied sharply by asset class: equity outflows reached $31.7 billion, far above the debt total of $2.1 billion for the month.

The gap between the equity and debt figures was $29.6 billion. Equity outflows were about 15 times the debt outflow.

The October withdrawals followed outflows from emerging markets in September.
